Welcome to The Mitre Players

The Mitre Players is a well established amateur dramatic company based in Croydon, Surrey. We now have an open membership although our original roots are as the dramatic arm of the Old Boys' Association of Trinity School (The Old Mid-Whitgiftian Association, OMWA). We perform an average of four shows per year including drama, pantomimes, musicals, revues and our own original material.

Be sure to (register and) login to access additional content including current rehearsal schedules, social calendar, the brilliant MitreSpace (trademark pending...) online community features and more. NEW! Members' News section now available to all registered users.

Gulliver Cornwall-bound!

Our epic musical version of GULLIVER'S TRAVELS has completed its maiden voyage at Mitre Theatre and now Lemuel and Co are taking on fresh supplies before embarking for all points west and sunny (hopefully!) Cornwall.

Gulliver's Travels - our latest production - is a brand new musical adaptation of Jonathan Swift's famous satire, written  by Mitres Chris Chambers and Andy "Quasimodo" Rapps.

It can next be seen at the Open Air Minack Theatre in Cornwall from Monday 18th - Friday 22nd August - but if you are thinking of coming down then be sure to book first as it looks like selling out. Visit www.minack.com for further information.

Look who's Hook!

Neil O'Gorman will play Captain Hook in the new production of Chenery & Warnock's PETER PAN at the White Rock Theatre, Hastings this Christmas.

Neil, who reprises the role he created in the original 2003 Mitre production appears alongside S Club 7's Jon Lee who is Peter Pan, and Little Britain's Steve Furst who is Smee.

PETER PAN runs from Wednesday 10th December 2008 to Sunday 4th January 2009 - and we are hoping to run a massive Mitre outing to one of the pre-Christmas evening performances in December.
