MARY HITS THE WEST END STAGE!

Well there's a headline you thought you'd never see!

You'd better, rub your eyes again because it's true: Mary Holton has become the latest Mitre Player to "grace" the West End stage when she helped open Act Two of Priscilla - Queen of the Desert, the latest Theatre Club trip. Mitres were left open-mouthed, tears (of laughter) welled up, rolled down cheeks and into the aisles of the Palace Theatre as that good ol', camp ol' showtoon "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" blasted the auditorium.

With Boogie Nights rehearsals well underway we are pleased to announce plans for the Autumn production. Chuckles, snorts and cries of "Jolly hockey sticks" will echo around the Mitre Theatre as the Mitre Players present Daisy Pulls It Off. Di Jones will be directing this classic romp around Grangewood School for Young Ladies which will be performed in the Mitre Theatre, Trinity School October 22-24th.

Di will be giving a short presentation about the show on Tuesday 9th June from 7.30 until 9 at the OMWA Clubhouse and will have audition pieces available to take away, read and inwardly digest before the auditions which will be conducted in groups on June 16th.
