Are you interested in joining the Mitre Players? We have three types of membership so if you want be a full active member, or would just like to keep up to date with current shows we have the option for you! Full Membership - for those who take an active part in productions
- entitles you to use the OMWA clubhouse facilities for rehearsals and social activities
- receive regular Mitre Players and Old Boy newsletters, keeping you informed of news, shows and other social events that are organised throughout the year
- only full members and non-playing members are entitled to register on MitreSpace to access the online community features, rehearsal schedules, social calendar and more
- all full members are allowed to vote at the AGM (except juniors) and stand for election onto the committee
- full members also receive a discount when hiring from the Mitre Players
- there will usually be an additional performance fee per production for performing members, and in some cases you will need to purchase a script
Full Membership Costs: - Adults: £40 (PLUS £20 joining fee for new or lapsed members)
- Under 25 yrs: £30
- Juniors 18 yrs and under: £10
Non-Playing Membership - for those who do not wish to perform but would ike to be involved with productions or tours, and also anyone who wishes to use the clubhouse facilities for social activities, including drinking in the bar
- entitles you to use the OMWA clubhouse facilities for rehearsals and social activities
- receive regular Mitre Players and Old Boy newsletters, keeping you informed of news, shows and other social events that are organised throughout the year
- only full members and non-playing members are entitled to register on MitreSpace to access the online community features, rehearsal schedules, social calendar and more
- this membership category has been designed for regular crew or band members who do not wish to vote at the AGM or stand for committee
Non-Playing Membership Costs: - Non Playing Membership is £30 per year
Friends of the Mitre Players
- for anyone who wishes to keep in touch with Mitre activities, receive Mitre newsletters and notification of productions. This provides vital support for the society and we are grateful to our many “Friends” for their continued interest
- however, being a friend does not entitle you to use the bar facility at the clubhouse unless you are an invited guest of a member or attending a performance
- nor does it entitle you to register on MitreSpace: only full members and non-playing members are entitled to register
- Being a Friend of the Mitre Players is just £10 per year
